Floor Fees
Clients are welcome to use the studio on a $15/hour Floor Fee basis.
Clients purchasing a Floor Fee will be put in the best available space; a private room is not guaranteed.
If you are sharing the space with other clients, you are asked to take turns sharing the sound system on an equitable basis!
Floor Fees may be used by an individual or may be shared by a couple, or by an instructor with an individual client or with a couple.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates may be purchased in any denomination and may be applied towards any Group Class, Private Lesson, Room Rental, or Cafe/Gift Shop item up to the Gift Certificate purchase ammount.
Gift Certificates must be redeemed by the expiration date. Generally, Gift Certificates are valid for 6 months from date of purchase.
When a Gift Certificate is specifically for or is applied towards a Class Card, the Class Card's expiration date will be based on when the Class Card is distributed, not on the Gift Certificate's date of expiration.

Group Classes
You may make-up a missed class with any class being offered on the Group Class Schedule.
"Make up classes" must be completed within the Group Class Cycle in which you are registered.
There are no "rollover" classes to another month except in rare cases of emergency, injury, etc. In those cases the studio must be notified as much in advance as possible about the student's inability to complete their course(s) within the class cycle in which they are registered.
Group Class Registration is complete when the student is paid in full in advance.
Unlimited Class registrations are valid for one Group Class Cycle and may not be applied towards any class marked "Abakua" on the Group Class Schedule.
Though rare, Empire Dance reserves the right to substitute an instructor, change a class schedule, or cancel a class without notice.
Students may observe a new class for up to 10 minutes without charge; anything beyond 10 minutes is considered taking the class and therefore requires payment, no matter whether the student is participating by dancing or by observing.

Class Cards
Standard Class Cards may be applied towards any class (except those marked "Youth") on the Group Class Schedule.
World Dance/Dance Fitness Class Cards may be applied towards any class marked "WD/DF" on the Group Class Schedule.
Class Cards are non-transferable.
Class Cards are not replaceable.

Private Lessons
Private Lesson appointments are not confirmed until paid in full in advance
Private Lessons may be rescheduled with no penalty if there is greater than 24 hours notice; private lesson appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice shall be forfeited.
Though rare, Empire Dance reserves the right to substitute an instructor without notice.
Private Lessons may be shared by up to two people at no extra charge; a $12 surcharge shall be applied to each additional person thereafter, regardless of their level of participation in the class. (The $12 surchage for additional persons not applicable for Private Lessons taught by Frankie Martinez, which have a different rate structure. Please call to inquire.)
Private Lessons may not be video taped or recorded in any manner.
Private Lessons must be scheduled and completed within one and one half weeks from date of purchase for each lesson purchased. That is, a package of four lessons must be completed six weeks from the date of purchase; a package of ten private lessons must be completed 15 weeks from the date of purchase; and etc.
There are no refunds.
With advance notice, a package of ten or more private lessons may be "frozen" for up to six months, postponing the package expiration date to allow for greater scheduling flexibility.
$25 Half-Hour Introductory Private Lessons are available for new students and fist-time private lesson clients only.
Private Lessons may be conducted in shared studio space with other private lesson clients and instructors.
Private rooms are not gauranteed or included in the Private Lesson fee.
Private rooms may be available for an additional charge.

Room Rentals
Studio rooms are available for rent on a first come/first served basis.
Room rentals are not confirmed unless paid in full in advance.
Empire Dance may substitute one rented room for another available room of equal or greater size to better accomodate you and other clients.

Student Discounts
A 10% discount is offered to students who are actively enrolled in a college, university, or high school. Proof of enrollment with valid picture ID required. Discounts do not apply to Private Lessons taught by Frankie Martinez.
