El Abrazo
One of NY's longest running practicas, El Abrazo was created in 2001, and is hosted and DJ'd by Robin Thomas.
El Abrazo is FREE to all current Empire Dance students ($8/door all others), and has gained a large following among in those interested in great music and dance in an informal, inviting atmosphere.
The idea of a 'practica' or 'practice party' is that this is a place where you can feel comfortable asking a question, working on a particular move, or just relaxing, dancing and having fun.
